Get help

Email support@onepercentstudios.net with what happened and which iPhone you are using. If a sound arrived silent or would not play, telling us roughly how long the clip was helps a lot.

Using Bit

Sending a sound. Bit lives in the iMessage app drawer. Open a conversation, tap the apps icon beside the text field, choose Bit, then tap a sound to drop it into the chat.

Recording. Clips can run up to 15 seconds, and you can pause partway through. You can also pick a video and keep only its audio. The video itself is never added to your library.

Saving what someone sent you. Tap the sound in the conversation and choose to save it. Your copy lives on your device and keeps working independently of theirs.

Sync. Sounds sync through your own iCloud account, so they survive a new phone. Turning off iCloud for Bit in iOS Settings stops that at any time.

Report a sound

If someone sent you audio that should not be circulating, report it from inside Bit. Press and hold the sound in your library and choose Report this sound, or use the same option in the Messages extension. That sends us the details we need to review it. It never sends the recording itself.

You can also email safety@onepercentstudios.net.

Formal statutory copyright notices should go to copyright@onepercentstudios.net rather than through the in-app report, which is a preliminary review channel.

Privacy and your data

Your recordings stay on your device and in your own iCloud account. They are never uploaded to our servers, and sending goes directly to your recipient through iMessage.

For access, correction, or deletion requests, email privacy@onepercentstudios.net. The full detail is in the Bit privacy policy and the Bit terms of use.
